Abstract

The cannabis industry is undergoing a transformative shift driven by advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI), reshaping cultivation practices and creating new opportunities for small businesses and emerging entrepreneurs. This paper explores how AI-powered technologies are revolutionizing the cannabis value chain “from seed to startup” by improving cultivation efficiency, enhancing crop quality, reducing operational costs, and supporting data-driven business decision-making. Through the integration of machine learning, computer vision, predictive analytics, Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, and automated climate-control systems, cannabis growers can optimize lighting, irrigation, nutrient management, pest detection, and harvest timing with unprecedented precision. These innovations not only increase yield consistency and sustainability but also lower barriers to entry for small-scale cultivators competing in a rapidly expanding market.
